SWORN TRANSLATOR
As a Sworn Translator duly appointed by the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, I have the duty and authority to translate legal documents and to produce translations that bear legal force. In addition, I also provide counsulting services in realtion to legal translation and document authentication/appostille at Indonesian Ministries and Embassies in Indonesia.
The legal documents that are normally translated by a sworn translator are as follows:

Laws and regulations (legislation, government regulations, and

Court Documents (Minutes of Investigation, Statements of Claim/Complaints, pleas, counterpleas, court jdugements, and etc.)

Agreements (various commercial agreements and non-commercial agreements and etc.) and Notarial Documents (articles of association, powers of attorney, last wills and testaments, and etc..)

In addition to legal documents, a Sworn Translator is also authorized to translate the following personal documents for the purposes of civil registration, visa application, KITAS (Stay Permit) Application, and school admission in Indonesia or abroad:

What and Who is a Sworn Translator?
A Sworn Translator is an individual that is granted a public position in the field of translation which is assigned and given authority by the Government to translate documents. Therefore, translations produced by a Sworn Translator are recognized as valid by various government agencies including Courts, Police, Embassies, Civil Registry Offices, and other various Government Agencies . A Sworn Translator is a person or individual who has expertise in the field of Translation whose expertise has been tested by the Government itself before being duly sworn in as a Sworn Translator.
Why should you use translation services provided by a sworn translator?
Apart from the undoubted ability and expertise of Sworn Translators, legal documents such as agreements, documents for court purposes, notarial deeds that are used by foreign parties or come from abroad and wish to be used in Indonesia are required to be translated by a Sworn Translator by Law no. 24 of 2009 concerning the Flag, Language and National Emblem, as well as the National Anthem. There are also various Embassies in Indonesia that require all documents to be submitted to the Embassies to be translated. For educational purposes, students who wish to enroll in school abroad are required to have their educational documents translated by a sworn translator.
